June 23rd, 2008 - NEW!
This just in!!It is the first full week of summer, and I am surfacing for a bit to update things around here on my website! First things first, I took care of the Gallery situation. Unbeknownst to me, the gallery program I was using was not working for many visitors. I finally just caught the error, and have fixed it so that everyone should be able to view both the Art and Photography gallery. :) My 'Commissions' gallery is still in progress, and whenever I get a bit of spare time, I will tackle that one.
Things are still going full steam ahead with Duirwaigh Gallery! Angi and Silas have been phenomenal in guiding me along with the projects we've been working on together. Their expertise and enthusiasm is unmatched! It is such a treat to be able to work with them.
I get a lot of visitors throughout the month, from all over the world! I'd love to hear from you - so drop me a line! Let me know how you heard about my work, and what pieces in my gallery you like most. If you are also an artist, send me links to your work! I love seeing other people's creations. Here are just a few of the places that have stopped by my site in the past few days:
Korea, The Netherlands, The UK, Russia, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Poland, India, France, Argentina... and that's just since the 15th of this month! So drop me a note on my 'Contact' page, I'd love to hear from you! :)
I have more things up for sale on RedBubble as well which I will be updating later today, and am diving into new artwork all the time. So expect more updates very soon! Have a great summer, all! -Aimee-

As you may have noticed, I am trying out a new gallery layout! I really like it, however I did not realize that it is only functional through Internet Explorer. Not good! So, unless I hear that this particular gallery is going to be updated with new code soon, I will be moving my gallery back to the old design. So, until that happens, you will need to use Internet Explorer to view all of my galleries. Very sorry for the inconvenience!
The apple blossoms have all fallen off the trees, and summer is well on it's way! Finally! After all the late April snowstorms around here, I wondered if we'd ever see the typical Wenatchee Valley heatwaves this year. But it looks like we won't be disappointed after all. That being said, it seems like time is flying by so fast!
I have had the pleasure of creating yet another tutorial for Advanced Photoshop Magazine! I just finished it on Sunday. It is now in the hands of those fabulous people over in England who make that magazine the slick piece of goodness that it is. The tutorial is a bit different this time, focusing on a few tricks I do to create certain techniques in my Steampunk artwork. If you haven't seen my Steampunk stuff, click into my gallery and check out "Captain Persephone" - as well as "Abney Park". All of those were such fun to create, and I was really stoked when the magazine asked me to do a writeup on it again.
And just when I thought things might slow down, I am plunging full steam ahead in my artwork for Duirwaigh Gallery. The lovely and inspired Angi Sullins, and the tremendously talented Silas Toball are so amazing! They are giving me the chance to create artwork of my beloved little animals, and over the next month and a half - I will be completely immersed in that, along with a couple of other projects that are works in progress. It is a wonderful feeling!
I have received so many kind emails and inquiries about my artwork, and how it can be purchased. Everyone has been so patient when it comes to this. I had finally found a printer here locally - who then promptly went out of business. Heh! So, I am currently setting up something else to make it easy for everyone to order prints of their favorite artwork. Check back here for more updates on that, or email me at: FoxfireArt@gmail.com and I will get back to you.
Thanks so much for visiting, and don't hesitate to drop me a line. It's one of my favorite things ever to hear from people who have seen my art, and it always makes my day to see a new name in my email box.
Til next time, Aimee
Recent Art News - January 13th, 2008
I have just read and signed the online petition:"Artists Requesting Reform of PhotoBucket Practices" hosted on the web by PetitionOnline.com, the free online petition service, at:
PetitionOnline.com
I personally agree with what this petition says, and I think you might agree, too. If you can spare a moment, please take a look, and consider signing yourself.
I just sent a letter to Photobucket last night, after having found over 50 instances of my artwork being posted without my permission. Some of them had print options enabled, and others had altered the art into other graphics. Fortunately, there was a reply from Photobucket waiting for me this morning, and they had already removed the art. Hopefully the petition will get Photobucket (and similar sites) to change the way they do things, so that this blatant copyright infringement won't keep snowballing.
Magazine Features

Here is just a little peek at some of the exciting things I've been a part of recently!
Over the course of the past couple of years, I have had the true honor of being featured in Advanced Photoshop Magazine. With it's international audience, I have been able to make contact with so many amazing people. It was a pinnacle for me when I was hired by them to write two photoshop tutorials. It didn't seem real until the day I received those issues in the mail. There was lots of Snoopy Happy Dancing occuring, I can assure you.
Check back soon, as I will be linking scans of articles and features here.
